Tessell offers high availability (HA) through database-level replication, ensuring transactional integrity and application consistency. Multi-AZ high availability for database services is achieved by deploying database instances with separate file systems across different Availability Zones (AZs).

Follow these high-level steps to create a Multi-AZ HA database using FSx for NetApp ONTAP (FSxN) in Tessell:

1. File System Creation in AWS: Create independent Single-AZ FSxN file systems in different Availability Zones (AZs) as needed. For detailed guidelines on creating FSxN file systems, refer to the Step-by-Step Guide: Provisioning a Database with Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP.

2. Provision Multi-AZ HA Database in Tessell: During database provisioning, select the FSxN file systems for both the primary and secondary instances. Tessell will set up database-level replication between the instances, ensuring high availability across AZs.
