Once you log in to the Tessell UI, the following apps are available to you to perform a variety of functions:

Database Services

  1. Provisioning
Allows you to create a database of your choice, and choose an engine and the cloud provider of your choice. You can select between high-performance and standard compute shapes based on your desired workload.

  2. My Services
Manage all your databases across clouds and regions in one place. It enables a fully-managed database service with advanced monitoring and log viewing, including integration with third-party services such as Datadog.

  3. Availability Machine
Tessell Availability Machine is a specialized data management app that gives you complete control of your data.

First, it eliminates data loss by providing a point-in-time recovery that is customized for your desired data retention period as per your choice of SLA. Second, it allows you to create and store various forms of data, including backups, table dumps, and anonymized data. Third, it provides one-click, policy-driven secure sharing of data across regions and cloud providers.

  4. Dataflix
Tessell Dataflix is a specialized data management app that makes data browsing and consumption simple and elegant. It lets you browse your data catalog among several categories, including time, sensitivity, and regions. You can also clone, import, or download data in any format across multiple cloud regions. Moreover, you can preview data, compare stats, pin your favorite data points, and mark them with custom metadata.

  5. Script Library
Use this app to bring your data masking scripts that you can later use in the Availability Machine app to create sanitized snapshots.

  6. Benchmarks
Explore the power of Tessell by easily running industry-proven benchmarks on database services.

Governance

  1. Subscriptions
This app allows you to create different subscriptions for different departments, functional groups, or any other criteria of your choice. You can grant subscriptions to users as needed and control which clouds and regions they can use. You can view separate billing for each subscription. You can also bring your own cloud accounts within a given subscription.

  2. Compute
You can disable compute shapes that you don't intend to use in your organization. You can restrict the compute shapes to certain regions where you intend to use them.

  3. Networks
You can create networks to segregate your services and can also create peering connections with networks in other cloud accounts owned by you.

  4. Security
This app allows you to bring your own keys for encryption and configure the password policies for the users in your organization.

  5. IAM
You can invite colleagues to collaborate, and control access to apps by assigning the appropriate persona to each user.
You can also integrate your own identity provider, such as G-suite, Okta, Active Directory, etc., to give admins fine-grained access control and visibility for centrally managing enterprise cloud resources.

  6. Database Governance
You can design customized database parameter profiles, option profiles, and SLAs to standardize your database estate.

You can also define endpoints for third-party integrations.

Cost

  1. Billing
Provides full transparency into your billing history, which is broken down at the subscription level. You can also generate powerful dashboards by slicing and dicing each bill by subscription, cloud, engine, compute, and user. We pride ourselves in providing utility-like itemized billing for each of your database services with hourly granularity.

  2. Payments
You can use credit/debit cards for automated payments. You can view and download invoices for past periods.

You can also view the summary of the credits remaining in your account.

  3. Utilization
Provides monthly, daily, and hourly utilization reports for each database service. You can expect to see a detailed breakdown of each Availability Machine with a full list of backups and can analyze usage trends and project future resource needs.

Support

  1. Tickets
View and update all the support tickets filed by you in one place.
