Tessell leverages Amazon EC2 and Amazon EBS for the data infrastructure.

Tessell supports two types of compute shapes.

  1. High-performance: These are NVMe-based shapes such as i4i and i3en series that provide unparalleled IOPS.

  2. Standard: These shapes utilize cloud storage such as gp3 and Ultra io2.

You can choose an Amazon VPC of your choice to attach to the VM. It can be either a public or private VPC.

The Tessell Availability Machine protects the data by taking regular snapshots and transaction log backups. The Availability Machine utilizes Amazon EBS Snapshots and Amazon S3 for this purpose.
