For organizations relying on Oracle databases, having a robust Disaster Recovery (DR) solution in place is paramount. In response to this need, we present our cutting-edge tool, designed to simplify the complex process of DR instance creation, management, and failover.

Step-by-Step Guide

DR Instance Creation

One of the standout features of our tool is its ability to facilitate the effortless creation of Oracle DR instances. This streamlined process eliminates the need for intricate manual configurations, ensuring that organizations can establish reliable failover systems swiftly and efficiently.

STEPS:

  • Choose the specific service for which you intend to create a Disaster Recovery (DR) instance within the My Services App. Then, proceed to the Instances Tab designated for that particular service.

  • Click the "Create Replica" button located at the top right corner of the Instances section, and then select the "Disaster Recovery" option.

  • Provide the following details as input for the DR Instance:

    • Instance Name

    • Region and Availability Zone

    • VPC in which DR will be deployed

  • Trigger DR Creation using the Add Replica Option

Seamless DR Instance Deletion

Equally important is the secure deletion of DR instances once they are no longer needed. Our tool provides a hassle-free method to delete these instances, ensuring that resources are utilized optimally and in adherence to organizational requirements.

STEPS:

  • Choose the specific service for which you intend to delete a Disaster Recovery (DR) instance within the My Services App. Then, proceed to the Instances Tab designated for that particular service.

  • Select the three-dot option next to the instance you intend to delete, and choose the "Delete" option from the list.

Manual Failover

In scenarios where manual intervention is necessary, our tool offers a straightforward approach to initiate failovers. Whether due to planned maintenance or unexpected issues, administrators can trigger failovers with ease, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuity of services.

STEPS:

  • Choose the specific service for which you intend to do Manual Failover to the Disaster Recovery (DR) instance within the My Services App. Then, proceed to the Instances Tab designated for that particular service.

  • Click the "Switchover" button located at the top right corner of the Instances section, and then select the DR Instance you intend to manually failover to.

Advanced Monitoring Capabilities

To guarantee the effectiveness of the DR strategy, our tool is equipped with robust monitoring features. It provides real-time insights into the health and performance of both primary and DR instances. Comprehensive monitoring ensures that administrators can proactively address any issues, optimizing the failover process and enhancing overall system reliability.

Proceed to the Monitoring Tab designated for the service and select the DR instance in the top left side
