Tessell offers highly differentiated data management compared to other cloud database vendors, which can only provide undifferentiated heavy lifting.

Tessell’s Availability Machine and Dataflix apps combine to give you holistic enterprise-grade data management with a consumer-grade experience.

Availability Machine

Manage data for various environments (Prod, Pre-prod, UAT, QA, Dev) in one place.

  • Snapshots: Tessell automatically takes snapshots at regular intervals in order to honor the data protection SLA. Additionally, you can take manual snapshots as desired. The as-is snapshots are ideal for Prod and UAT environments.

  • Sanitized Snapshots: You can upload a masking (SQL) script to Tessell and in one click use that to create an anonymized/sanitized copy of the snapshots of your choosing. The masked snapshots are ideal for QA environments.

  • Native Backups: Snapshots are great but if you have a need to create native backups with long-term retention for compliance purposes, then you can do that in a single click in Tessell.

  • Database Dumps: You can export databases, tables, and rows out of your database instance. These database subsets are ideal for Developer environments.

Having created one or more formats of data, you can share them in a policy-driven manner with the intended users in the region (which can be different from that of the source database service) of your choice.

Dataflix

Dataflix allows you to browse through the data catalog based on regions, time, and data format (as-is, sanitized, or dumps).

As a self-service, you can consume any of the available data points on-demand by cloning them into a new database service.

If you are the owner of the database service, then the entire catalog is available to you. If you are not the owner of the database service, then you can only access the data points shared with you by the owner of the database service in the region chosen by him/her.
